About
Dr. Aude Maillard
A Scientific and Integrative Approach to Aromatherapy
I am Aude Maillard, Doctor of Pharmacy (Faculty of Pharmacy of Tours, France, 1999) and a specialist in scientific and medical aromatherapy for over 20 years.
After nearly a decade in community pharmacy, I chose in 2008 to devote my career entirely to aromatherapy—bringing together pharmaceutical rigor and a holistic understanding of the human being, integrating physical, emotional, and energetic dimensions of health.
This path reflects my long-term commitment to innovative, natural, and environmentally conscious healthcare focused on prevention, balance, and overall well-being. Today, as a teacher, author, and lecturer, I share an approach that is evidence-based, sensitive, and deeply respectful of the living world through introductory courses for individuals who want to use essential oils safely and confidently, as well as professional training programs for those wishing to become aromatologists with a scientific approach.

Frequently Asked Questions
I know nothing about aromatherapy. Is this course suitable for me?
Dr Aude Maillard’s courses are aimed at the general public, with no prior knowledge.
They are highly educational and designed to introduce students to the subject. Everything is done to make learning easy. They enable students to gradually acquire effective and safe techniques, as well as the appropriate reflexes, even without any prior knowledge of health matters. What’s more, they offer a valuable advantage: the opportunity to ask your questions about the course directly to the expert, who usually responds very quickly.
It is said that essential oils are dangerous. Is it reasonable for me, as a novice, to start using them?
Essential oils are powerful and very useful tools for health. They empower you to take control of your health and well-being. While they do present potential risks, there are ways to manage these risks and ensure that they have no adverse effects. To do this, you should take courses or follow the advice of an aromatherapy expert, or failing that, consult reliable, accurate and practical reference works.
There are many contraindications with essential oils. Is there any risk of me doing something dangerous?
With each piece of advice given, Dr Aude Maillard always specifies the contraindications and precautions for use of the synergy in question. If you pay attention to and follow all the advice given, there is no reason why your experience should go wrong. On the contrary, aromatherapy brings many benefits for your health and well-being on a daily basis.
If I train in aromatherapy, I do not know where I will be able to buy the essential oils I need.
Essential oils that can be used in aromatherapy can be identified by a number of quality criteria. Dr Aude Maillard explains these criteria so that you can identify the most reliable aromatherapy brands. Generally speaking, good essential oils can be purchased in pharmacies as long as they are organic and chemotyped.
